Sarah graduated with First Class Honours and is an Associate Director at the firm where she specialises in complex, high stakes, multi-party commercial litigation. She has both led and assisted in numerous hearings, trials and appellate proceedings and is known for her tenacious advocacy and meticulous attention to detail.
Sarah routinely appears before the Supreme Court of Singapore, and her practice area includes a particular emphasis on corporate, shareholder, and boardroom disputes. For her expertise, in 2024, Sarah was also invited to speak as a panellist at The Legal 500’s Asia Pacific Disputes Summit on “Perspectives on Shareholder Activism: A Cross-Border Case Study”.
Sarah also has an active arbitration practice and has assisted in arbitrations under various institutional rules.
Some of Sarah’s notable matters and clients include:-
Represented one of the longest standing crypto platforms in the Asia-Pacific region with a total trading volume of approximately SGD7 billion;
Represented a senior banker in matrimonial proceedings involving assets in excess of SGD30 million and shareholdings spanning across various corporations in and beyond Singapore (including a Family Office);
Represented the CEO of a public listed company in respect of a shareholder / director dispute in the context of a corporate group spanning various jurisdictions;
Represented a boutique surgery practice (and its founder doctor / shareholder) in a multi-million dollar acquisition and joint venture with a public listed health group;
Represented a Singapore-incorporated company (backed by state-owned interests from the People’s Republic of China) in a cross-jurisdiction joint venture governed by the laws of Singapore for the development of solar powered generation plants in Myanmar;
Represented and advised minority shareholders with an aggregate secured shareholding of approximately USD103 million in the restructuring of a public-listed entity.
Represented a global life science company in arbitration stemming from a dispute involving the construction of specialised medical machinery.
Represented a minority shareholder and director in an action for wrongful termination, minority oppression (Section 216) and derivative action (Section 216A) in the context of a corporate group spanning across India, Singapore and Malaysia with an annual turnover in excess of $30 million.
